WHY DOES MY 5320 PRINTER SAY COVER IS OPEN?

There are two possibilities : something has happened to its little microswitch so it thinks it is open, or the circumstances under which you are seeing this status have not been described, so you could be having some problem of PRINTING from an application like MSWord which is a completely different issue and could be far more related to windows 10 poor drivers. I suggest you open a brower and access the printer via its webpage interface by typing in its IP address into your browser address bar. from there you will be able to see its actual status and print a status sheet.

because the sensor senses it.

If it's not then the cover's sensor is dirty or broken.
