Why did Malcolm X become an influential figure in hip hop?

Please provide a summary of why you think he influenced hip hop.

    He stood for what he believed in which is the rights of Blacks.  Which is what it should be like. Equal righrs.Hip Hop is for all races but invented by Blacks. I am not going to do a big summery but this is my summery.

    Hip hop emerged in the mid-1970s, ten years after Malcolm X died.   He  influenced politically vocal artists like the original Ice Cube.  But Malcolm was not known as a musician.
