How long is the AIT program for a US Army linguist?

Let's assume that our prospective linguist is learning Russian. He speaks some already, but needs to learn military terms and whatever else the Army would require.

It depends on the language.  The Russian course is typically one year.

As a CAT 3 language, 48 weeks.  Branch is irrelevant as everybody trains together at DLI

The AIT part or the language part.  What MOS?

Iirc, language school comes before AIT. And Russian is nearly 2 years.

And what do you mean by linquist? an Interrogator?
