Turned him into Hyde, as people have answered. Hyde is Jekyll's alter-ego. In general, our mind has 3 parts, the Id, the primal "caveman" part, the super-ego, the advanced part, a lot yet to be accessed, and the ego, our general conscious. The alter-ego is believed to be another part, alternative to these, hidden in our conscious... according to Freud you would only have if something, you know, was mentally wrong with you, to have an alternative personality. Jekyll tried to create the potion to destroy the evil feelings he had, but it ended up bringing them out as an alternative personality.
