HELP how do I get chemical odor out of new scarf?

I purchased a Michael Kors scarf that smells like horrible chemicals it can fill up a whole room and make you want to pass out. The scarf is of glittery material (best way I can describe it) are there any ways I could get this out? I’ve tried the baking soda in a sealed bag with the scarf for days and didn’t do anything and I’m scare to wish it because I’m worry I’ll ruin the scarf

Try washing the scarf with a gentle laundry detergent.

Hang it up outside in a protected area for a week.

Leave it outside overnight on your porch/balcony/yard! The fresh air and sun should take care of the smell.

i would ask/complain to the company. for something that expensive, that's kind of unacceptable.
