In UK is there a way to tell if a stranger has connected to your home network due to a weak password?

Put the Fing app on  your phone. It is easier than logging into your router every time you want to do this

Your wireless router should keep a log which has the information about every device that has connected to wifi. The process for accessing that log is different for every make and model of router. But normally you can access the router through your web browser. You enter the IP address of the router and it will show you the router's interface. There should be a network page where you can see the log that shows the name of every device that has connected to your wifi.

IF you are concerned that someone is accessing the wifi, change the password.

Log into your router and you will be able to see the MAC Address of every device that has connected to it, compare them to your devices and see if there's any that don't match your devices

If there's a router in the picture it will show the connected devices and their MAC addresses.

There are also many apps(mobile as well) that will notify the admin that a new device has connected. There's also hardware available that can notify the user.

    Curious question.
