    Estrogen inhibits gonadotropin production

    This reduces LH and FSH

This is a rather non-confident answer, but I’d say that LH, FSH, and estrogen go hand in hand with each other. Both levels are drawn up which will indicate whether or not the proper cycle of menstruation is occurring. Take for example, FSH levels are often used to discern whether or not a woman is going into/complete with menopause. Men have estrogen as well, so I do not see why high LH and FSH wouldn’t effect them as well.
