Academic probation is not detention, and it's imposed for poor academic performance, not poor behavior.

    No.  There is no "detention".

You can be suspended or expelled for bad behavior.  If the offense is minor, you may just get a warning, but more offenses could result in suspension or expulsion. No one makes adult college students stay after school or show up on a Saturday for "detention".

Poor academic performance can result in academic probation, which means that you are being given time to get your grades up, but if you don't do it, you will be asked to leave temporarily until and unless you become capable of focusing on your studies.

Detention for bad behavior?  No the teacher will ask you to leave the classroom.  Or call security depending on the infraction.  The teacher can have you kicked completely out the class.

No, there's not detention in college. You can act as terribly as you'd like, but the teacher might ask you to leave.

No, of course not. You're considered an adult. If you're struggling in a class, go talk to the instructor. Many colleges have writing centers and math centers where you can go for help- usually with a grad student. If your grades are too low, you are put on probation. If you don't pull them up, you're out .
