is really that a big part of white americans have german ancestry?

So what happened during world warI and World war II? thank you

    Americans have ancestry from all over the world including Europe, so of course Germany, to find out where your ancestry is frome you would need to research and prove your own ancestry....America took in many immigrants in the 20th century who were escaping the wars, they also took in many Nazis who were trying to escape being caught

    over 30% have german ancestry

    Well they had to come from somewhere

    Mostly German French and  British

    Most of the immigration happened before the war that’s why

    And blood ancestry is very different from being a native German
