Without looking at a manual, a ethernet port often glows a orange if the connection is not full speed or full duplex.  Get the specs for your device or status to see what speed it sees.  Looked it up, it should be full duplex 1 Gb.

A speed of 100Mb is not a bad thing, it is probably a 100Mb device, which is plenty fast.

The Sky Q hub has gigabit ethernet ports. Usually the different colours indicate which speed your computers/devices are connecting to.

Most likely one device is connecting at full gigabit (1000Mbps) speed, other older devices may be connecting at a slower speed if they are fitted with a slow 100Mbps ethernet port or if they are connecting with Cat5 cable rather than Cat6 cable.

CAT5 would make no difference over a few metres.
