Native English speakers, could you please help me with these issues?

Is this sentence correct:

"Jef Bush HAS EXERCISED some public service posts in Florida."

Or even just as;

"Jef Bush HAS EXERCISED some public posts in Florida."

    It's Jeb Bush. Can you please explain what the intent of the sentence is

    trying to convey?

      All I can tell you is the words you used don't make that point clear at all. The term held does. I think i would word it "Jeb Bush has held public office in the state of Florida".

    It makes no sense at all.  Exercises are things like running, or push-ups.  You go do that in a post, but, not to a post (i.e., place).

    I don't think either sounds right. If you mean he has held various public posts - perhaps that's the way you should say it.
