Yes - she could still have an orgasm from stimulation to her clitoris.

No sex generally means no orgasm, too. She can ask her doc to be sure, but that's usually what it means -- nothing in the vagina, and no orgasms.

She can probably still masturbate for an orgasm.

She should ask her doctor. There's pelvic rest and there's "abstaining from intercourse."

Not a very wise idea at all since an orgasm will disturb the uterus with the contractions.  It could put the baby in jeopardy if the placenta moves any further.  Why would you take such a risk or at least double check with your own OB?

A female's orgasm does NOT "disturb the uterus with contractions". A female's orgasm does NOT cause uterine contractions.

I don't think all that excitement would be good for the baby.

This is something to discuss with the OB. It's possible the act of intercourse is the risk factor, but it's also possible the uterine spasms of orgasm are a factor. You need to know for sure before you take a risk, right?

If sh/e is available via email, this is a quick question to ask.
