How did the Industrial Revolution shape the development of parliamentary democracy in Britain. ?

    The movement of people to the cities without adjustment of constituency boundaries meant that there was a real imbalance in representation. There were constituencies with only a few voters while large cities like Manchester and Birmingham had minimal representation.
