Do exhaust tips change the sound of your car?

    If they are simple pipe in various shapes, no. If the have built in features like whistles or perforated inner cores they can.

    There are a few that can change the sound to a degree, you have to hunt for them at the area speed shops!

    They can. But, you can change the sound by just removing the air filter & housing.

    No....the muffler does that.

    Yes, they can. Turned in pencil tips can attenuate rapping tone. Megaphone or bell tips, can cause more harsh tone. Long, oversized tips can deepen the exhaust note a bit.

    Depends on the tips.   On Old School Air-Cooled Volkswagens, the tips make a big difference in sound.
