use the Print Screen button, then paste the captured picture into Paint, or whatever.

    pretty easy actually.

Using the Prnt Screen key is good, however I've found using Snipping Tool to be better.

Use the Search Tool in Win 10, look for Snip and Sketch or Snipping tool

Windows 7, start run - type Snipping tool.

You can capture any part of the screen you want and even add arrows, circles etc.  No need to paste it into another program, you can save it right from the Snip Window.

You can also take a screenshot of the active window (the window currently on the top and in use) on your Dell computer. Here’s how you can do it:

    1) Press the Alt key and the Print Screen or PrtScn key on your keyboard at the same time (to capture the active window and save it to the clipboard on your computer).

If your Print Screen key has “Print Screen” or “PrtScn” located under another line of text, you should hold down the Fn key on your keyboard before pressing the Print Screen key.

As with all computers, you frame it, the send that to "Paint".  Then send it as a "TIFF".
