Why do my ripe bananas with dark spots still have light green spots under the skin? Never happened before.?

Sounds like they may have been in a cool store.

This is what I was thinking. They are small fluorescent green spots that look as if they are under the skin. I don't feel like taking chances with my health. I'm not eating them.

There are so many different colored bananas that you never can tell which ones taste good. Yours sound fine.
