How do you go about as a man goes and tries clothes on in a woman’s store such as Dress Barn?

You buy the dress saying it's for your girlfriend, then return it later saying it didn't fit.

Where I work, men can try on all the women's clothes he wishes, but he must do it in the MEN'S fitting rooms.

It's the restroom problem moved to a different venue.
If the dressing rooms are private and close securely, there's no reason not to allow male shoppers to try on women's clothing before buying it for themselves.
I haven't been in a deep-discount store with open dressing rooms in many years. I'm not sure they still exist. People want and deserve their privacy and stores have responded.
So I see no reason Dress Barn and other retailers should keep a male from the changing rooms.
