Anyone familiar with wood termites? What does it mean when they make a sound? I saw bunch of them when I accidentally pulled out a tape. ?

All I can tell you is, get an inspection to determine if you need only spot treatment or a full fumigation.

There are also subterranean termites that come up from underground , so the need for pest control is never ending. Left untreated, they can cause a lot of damage.

There are different types of termites and they all eat wood.

Termites are found pretty much everywhere in the USA except some desert regions.

This is a maintenance issue.  Homeowner's insurance does not cover maintenance problems.

We can't really tell what that is that you are showing us.  Termites create holes the size of pen-heads.  You might have termites in what ever you are showing us but they didn't create that damage.

You need to call a termite specialist to figure out the best way to resolve your issue.

They've got a case of the munchies.

It only means bad news.  Call a pest control company and your home insurance company.  Prepare for a hefty bill.

Ins companies know better than to cover termites. They're everywhere.
