    Musicians and singers of all cultures take stage names. Many K-Pop artists take Western sounding names to appeal to a wider audience.

    Yes, because that is the name they became famous under. Not many people know who Alecia Beth Moore (Pink), Tracy Lauren Marrow (Ice-T), Richard Starkey (Ringo Starr),  or even Christopher George Latore Wallace (Notorious B.I.G) are.
