    I do believe that Damascus claims to be the oldest continuously inhabited city in the world. Evidence exists of a settlement in the wider Barada basin that dates back to 9000 BC. Do you know? I was absolute crap at history when I was a school.

    I do believe it is Damascus and it is said to be the oldest in the world too.

    Damascus is reputed to be the oldest city in the world. There is evidence of habitation dating back 11.000 years.
