Is the USA's greatness only dependent the USA defeating the german males in WW2?
- Anonymous1 month ago
To an extent, yes. The USA was not the superpower nation it is today until after WW2 when Britain, France, and Germany were greatly weakened which allowed the USA to surpass them in advancement and strength and become one of two superpower nations (USSR and USA). And Germany under Hitler was headed toward the superpower status. So, once Germany was defeated by the USSR and USA and when the USA began rebuilding Western Europe after the war, it initiated this era of USA greatness and superpower nation status.

Absolutely not! The USA's greatness is based on it democracy and it's constitution and it's willingness to welcome immigrants so that they will be able to live in freedom and to prosper.

The Allies defeated Nazi Germany with the Russian military taking the largest casualties and fighting. The US military effort was minimal and late.
The US gained its economic greatness because it was well away from the fighting and was able to supply war materials to Britain and the Soviet Union etc. Despite the US fighting the Germans, a number of US companies also supplied the Germans with material.
After the war it was the ability of the US to build the war ravaged nations, again creating greater wealth for the US.

The United States super power comes primarily from its geography.
