any tips on how to tidy your room ?

it easiest thing is NOT let it get messy in the first place :-)
I suggest you start with putting clothes back in the wardrobe or in the washing basket, then make your bed, then go through all the surfaces and bin or tidy away any unwanted items there and then do the same with stuff on the floor.

First, pick up everything off the floor that isn't meant to be there. That one single thing will make the whole room look a lot tidier right away.

It's all about finding the right place for things.
If your room is really messy -
1 - pick up and throw away any rubbish.
2 - put away large things.
3- sort out clothes - put away clean and move dirty to laundry area.
4- put away smaller things.
5- anything else goes in a large box to be sorted through.
6 - clean, dust, hoover.
7 - sort that box out!

If one makes it a practice to daily do certain things, than to clean up a room goes much faster. Always try to make your bed before you leave. Always place your dirty clothes dry one's in the hamper, any wet hang to dry. If your own bathroom, have a place for hair brush/comb in your drawer, same with deodorant and toothbrush/paste have a place for them and put it back every time. At least once a week take a dust mop to your room and clean out the dust mop outside or in trash container.
Also it wouldn't hurt to learn from mom how to wash your own clothes when of age. It is a nice way to show her how you appreciate all she does for you daily. Leaves more time to have fun with mom or your friends. Good idea once week to pull your dirty sheets and put new clean one's one and place used in hamper. If you don't have a hamper, use your allowance to purchase things you need. The more you learn early the easier college life will be or your first apartment. Blessings
My children liked the idea of laying out their next school day clothes sure helps them to get ready easier. Good to take showers at night also. Book bag with lessons done set by the front door.....HUGS AND KISSES sure helps make mom's day.

Everything has it's place. Every time you use something you put it back when you're done. Easy. So, you don't have to take the whole weekend to clean up your room.
For example, your t-shirts go in your t-shirt drawer. When you change t-shirts, it either goes back to the t-shirt drawer or into the dirty clothes hamper.
Not on the floor.
When you are done using your toothpaste, put it back in the bathroom drawer where it's kept, don't just leave it out on the bathroom sink counter.
You won't have all these things lying around everywhere and your weekends won't be wasted putting 900 things back where they go.
Spraying and wiping down a sink and a mirror, and cleaning a toilet bowl will take you about 30 minutes.

Pick stuff off the floor (and if it's not dirty, DON'T automatically put it in the hamper. Hang it back up.) vacuum and dust as needed.
