Obviously a semi. It's built to HAUL

The average school bus engine has less than half the hp and torque of the average OTR semi tractor.

The Semi hands down if it is not pulling a trailer.

There are hundreds of combinations of make/model/engine/transmission for both school buses and semi trucks and they are not all identical.

I'm sure the fastest school bus could be the slowest semi-truck, and the fastest semi-truck could beat the slowest school bus.

Depends on the driver. The school bus has an automatic transmission but less power than a semi which a skilled driver would have to shift to keep the higher powered engine moving.

You do realize that there is more than one school bus and one semi truck in the world and they do not all perform the same, right?!?
