I mean, there are body washes such as head and shoulders if you're interested in using something for both your body and head without damage. But if you're speaking of a body wash made specifically for your body then I wouldnt suggest it and I can't  tell you what it would do to your hair.

You can use shampoo for body wash but not vice versa due to the pH.

Body wash completely fries your hair. Do what you want I don’t care, but you can only blame yourself when your hair is a frizzy mess

Bodywash is not formulated for the needs of hair.

However, since a lot of men don't seem to care what they put on their hair, go ahead and use it if you want to.  Women usually wouldn't, because they want something that is specifically designed for hair cleansing and treatment.

Shampoos are specially formulated, if you wash hair with bodywash you could cause all kinds of scalp issues.
