Feet get extremely swollen?

My moms feet are always SO swollen to the point where she can't walk! She takes a lot of medication like suboxone, adderall, vivance and idk what else and does use a decent amount of salt as well. She also has bad back pain and I think her body also swells...does anyone know what this can possibly be? I hate that she cant do anything and is always in pain.

You need to see a PCP; she could be presenting with CHF. and have her lie down and elevate her feet about her heart as well.

She needs to cut out salt completely. This is edema. If you press on it, does the indention stay?

This can be cause by heart and kidney problems which is likely the case given this history. Please take her to a doctor

If she has a crappy diet, and eats a lot of junk, inflammatory foods, grains, sugars and refined oils, then this is part of the problem. The rest of the problem is anyone's guess. She might consult her doctor about the issue.

Tell her to see a doctor to review her meds and cut down on the salt.  What will help is for mom to prop up her feet on the coffee table everytime she's watching TV.  Temporary fix until she sees a doctor.

Extremity swelling is a sign of a number of things, she would need to be examined and have some tests run to determine which cause

Nobody on YA can diagnose her.  She needs to see a doctor.
