I have a 2009 Chevy Impala and my anti-lock brake light went on. What does this mean?

If the light stays on, or comes on when you’re driving, it means that there is a problem with the ABS. If the anti-lock brake system has been disabled, you will still have normal braking capabilities. The only difference is that your anti-lock brake system won’t engage during certain types of stops.

It probably means that one of the sensors on the wheel has burned out. get it checked it won't take very much money to replace one of the sensors

It means something is wrong with the ABS.  See a mechanic with a dealer level scanner.  A cheapo scanner will not fix your car.

It means you have a problem with the anti-lock brakes. Now use your little brain and get it repaired.
