is a man who has been in jail alowed to be a official of a club?

    they have served their time, ultimately it's at the discretion of the football club, but that would be the case anyway..

    In a nutshell, yes but i wouldn't call tax evasion and match fixing crimes of the century.

    With Joey Barton,the nutter, he's been inside prison for common assault and affray 

    He was also given a four-month suspended sentence after admitting assault occasioning actual bodily harm on a former teammate.

    Incidentally,Barton's brother Michael Barton has been  sentenced to life imprisonment
