    Not really decadent.  They're usually held yearly.

    People like to focus on the occasional exhibitionist(s), but for the most part it's just like any other parade.

    This is one lousy day of the year when we can act crazy. Why would you take that away from ? The nudity and sexual behavior needs to be kaboshed- there are families watching these parade. Let's have some sense of respect.

    It is great to be part of the parade and watch the parade. I took my mother (in her 80s and walking with a cane) to the parade in Chicago. 3 hours of craziness. She loved it. We marched with PFLAG and all the young men came running up to her giving her hugs and kisses. It made her tremendously happy.
