Fibromyalgia is a horrible condition and anxiety will make the pain worse. If you were diagnosed by your GP ask for a referral to a rheumatologist to make sure the diagnosis is correct as fibro usually has more symptoms than just pain. Also ask to be referred to a pain specialist for treatment. Specialist physio, pain management courses, CBT and medications such as Amitriptyline, Pregabalin, Gabapentin, Baclofen, Tizanidine etc can really help. Fibro rarely goes away but with treatment you can manage your condition. Peer support can be invaluable and there are a few UK fibro support groups on facebook.
I've had severe fibro for over 12 years.
