Where does the in-line fuse need to be place?

Im setting up a push-button horn for my car.

i got one line going from the positive terminal to the push-button. And a second line going from the horn relay pin connector back to the push-button.

On which line should i add an in-line fuse ?

Do i even need one ?

You always need an in line fuse at the positive battery terminal when adding extra B+ wires.

Put a fuse on the power wire.

Rick is right. If the fuse is furthest from the + terminal, a short anywhere on the + side of the fuse will continue and damage equipment. The fuse only blows for shorts after the fuse.
