'Meth. We're on it' campaign rolls out in South Dakota to confusion, ridicule. But what do YOU think? Is it clever? Or not?

I say... It's only being ridiculed by those not smart enough to appreciate how incredibly smart the campaign really is. The whole point is to GET PEOPLE TALKING. And it worked. Incredibly well. So who cares if you are offended by it. Not one person addicted to METH is being helped by YOUR hurt feelings.

It IS ridiculous! "Say no to drugs! Just say no!" Stupid! What good will this dumb ad campaign do??? Did anybody ever quit using drugs or alcohol because a lousy commercial told them to? Of course not! This is a waste of time and money! Who is paying for this?

If the authorities want to get people talking (or GET PEOPLE TALKING as you say) they should give them a little bit of meth. My neighbor won't shut up when he's on it.

Not a single drug addict is being helped by a totally ineffective narcotics prohibition.  Perhaps if we are ready to get "Smart," we could address the larger problems ?
