Why is it hard to earn income on youtube nowadays?

    Create a channel company. Make videos and will happen.

    I'd say that part of the issue is that there are a lot of people on YT trying to make money. Most of them don't "make it" big. There's a lot of competition, and as Iggy mentions, it is not easy to get enough views to get enough money.

    There's that and the fact that YouTube is kind of unstable. By that I mean that YT can demonitze videos that don't have anything bad in them, but for some seemingly random reason, YT doesn't like it and you loose monetization.

    A lot of the medium to large tech channels that I watch have to supplement their income through Patreon, Floatplane or methods since they don't make much with Adsense.
