In Texas, an "R" on a driver's license means there is so sort of restriction on the license. The "R" notation will go on to explain what the restriction is. For example, it might indicate that  you must wear corrective lenses when you're driving.

If you are in Colorado, it means you have a regular license.  If it said "C" you would have a commercial license.

If you live in New York state it means a restriction such as corrective lenses.

If you live in Louisiana it is on the license you get when you get the restricted license and have paid the $50 fee after being convicted of a violation that led to a suspended license.

It means nothing until/unless you tell us where in this big world you live and which jurisdiction issued your license.

You'll have to look this up for your location since you didn't even include what planet you're on. In the United States drivers licenses classes (types) are different per state. Can't answer this question because you didn't mention where you're located.
