The American revolution was in 1776, and the USA's Constitution was authored in 1787. The philosophy of the Constitution was influenced by many historical documents but much of the government it defined was completely new. The resiliency of our Constitution is why the USA has had political stability for 230 years.
The French revolution started in 1789. It resulted in an authoritarian regime that murdered people wholesale and often based on hearsay. A lot like what today's Democrat Party wants to do.

Yes, France is where democracy and personal rights evolved, in the sidewalk cafes where the French revolutionary radicals met with their American counterparts like Franklin and Jefferson in the 18th Century.

Déclaration des droits de l'homme et du citoyen (1789, France) and the The Bill of Rights (1689, England) were mostly based on the Magna Carta, England, 1215.
LaFayette drafted the French Declaration based on the US Billl of Rights, in consultation with Thomas Jefferson.
