Virtualmachine W7 on Ramdisk?

Oke, so virtualbox is installed on my C drive with the vdi etc on the Ramdisk. It works. But, Crystaldisk is showing ssd speeds of 400mbs in W7. ?? When I run crystaldisk on the Ramdisk in W10 Im getting like 3000mbs. Why is W7 running so slow while being stored on a Ramdisk. Any ideas?

There's lots of things you could try. A fixed image size instead of a dynamically allocated one would be slightly faster. You could try making sure "Use Host I/O cache" is set for the disk controller. If you're not using the ramdisk for anything else and the software you are using allows it, you could format it and use it as a direct partition in VirtualBox.
