Why can't you ask a simple question and get a simple answer, or an answer at all, to it from the Yahoo censors ?

There are no yahoo-censors
Simple questions about the answerer ("what is your...?","what do you...?") are violations and will often be reported and deleted as such

You can ask a simple question has long as it is not in violation of the community guidelines and Term of Service. The same applies to answers. Your simple question must gain knowledge for others and not be a simple chat. Also, Yahoo/Verizon Media does not curse you here. It is other users who will drop your question/answer if it is a violation.

You can, as long as the question is at least 15 character spaces long. The only censors are the Yahoo and YA users and various computer filters like the spam and language filters. The language filter will asterisk out certain words, but there are legitimate ways to get around the language filter. You are supposed to be at least 13 years old to be on YA, but there is no reason why your 6 year old sister or brother can ot be reading YA. If they are smart enough, they can set up an email account and make themselves 13 years old ir older. Some 2 and 2 year olds CAN read.
YOU are a YA user. Verizon/Yahoo does NOT PAY employees to monitor or moderate YA. YOU are an UNPAID moderator censor of YA whether you realize it or not. Maybe you should take the time to READ the terms of service contract that you hand already agreed to TWICE, even if you need a lawyer or paralegal to help explain it to you. Rants like your question are really statements, opinions and provocations with a default question mark at the end, no a knowledge seeking question.
Yahoo/Verizon employees STOPPED answering questions on YA more Than 5 YEARS ago. All the Yahoo Answers teans were laid off. So were the customer care agents around the world.

Because asking for example: "do you prefer blondes or brunettes," or "Coke or Pepsi," is against the rules because it's NOT a useful question.
There was a time years ago where these type of questions were allowed... but now they are just annoying & people have realised that they are pointless questions.

You can. However, many "simple" questions can still violate the rules of the site.
