    The characters mean, in order from top to bottom, "beauty", "power", "love".

    They don't actually make up a word or phrase when put together like that, though. At least not in Japanese. Chinese uses many of the same characters, so maybe it is actually a proper phrase in Chinese, rather than just a random collection of characters?

    The first one, hearest the ear (at least, I hope it's an ear), is 'mei', 'beautiful'.

    I don't know the others.
