I’m 25 and I feel something hard and kind of painful behind my upper 2nd molar. What could it be?

Have you ever had your wisdom teeth removed? If they never erupted (came out), it may be erupting now or becoming infected. In other people, wisdom teeth that did erupt but never caused problems can start causing problems years later. Get an appointment with a dentist to be sure-- if it's an infection or cavity, it could get really severe without treatment, and if it's something else it's best to figure it out now than wait until it starts causing real problems.

Sounds as though it might be an abscess.

I am quite sure your dentist  can tell you once he or she looks.
