Windows 10: Control Panel's Brightness Sliders are MISSING!?

When selecting a power option, I ALWAYS make sure the brightness is dimmer when unplugged, this helps me when I'm gaming & the dimming of the screen tells me that my charger's fallen out (I rest my laptop on my laps as I game).

But now the sliders are missing from the power options. And when I go into my Advanced settings under the "Display" section, the setting "Enable Adaptive Brightness" is missing! I tried re-installing my display drivers but that didn't work either.

I would guess that with successive windows 10 upgrades support for the adaptive brightness feature has been discontinued. You may find support from the laptop manufacturer's webpage whoever they are
