Is cayenne pepper good with steak?

My brother years ago made a steak. He used cayenne pepper as part of the rub. It added a nice reddish hue to the steak and it tasted delicious. Especially with the A.1. sauce he used. Would you recommend using it?

Little bit it does give just a bit of spice but I would use other seasonings with it since it has no flavor

I sometimes use chili powder which includes cayenne. It also has paprika and cumin which add a smoky flavor, as well as oregano and garlic, all of which go well with steak. I think cayenne adds mostly heat.

Yes, it is good with steak. A coffee rub can be very good too.
