Why don't cars have a rocket gear option?

Press a button, and your car will go fast as a rocket. Because it will activate the rocket.

But, please, use this option only when you have to.

Roads have curves? Gee, did you Learn nothing from watching Road-Runner Cartoons? Wile E. Coyote always misses the curve and goes into the ravine without a parachute.

Because any car you can think of would completely rattle apart at half that speed.

Besides, have you ever tried to steer a rocket?  Most people can't control a vehicle moving faster than walking speed, so good luck making that turn when you're pressed back in your seat from the acceleration.

What makes you think that anyone would ever need (or want) to travel at rocket speed?

I'm sure if you've got the money, some engineer will make it for you.

Too many stupid libtards would abuse it in traffic or accidentally push it at red light or when slowing down.
