You will first need to be seen by your GP who will recommend you to be seen by a gastroenterologist if they deem it necessary.

A general surgeon will be able to help you with this problem.  Sometimes a gastroenterologist, or a regular doctor and reduce your hernia, but if it is a very large hernia or a chance of strangulation, you should consult with a general surgeon.  Please talk with your general practitioner to get a referral to see one.

i would see your primary care doctor, you'll need him to refer you to someone else anyways

Just see your PCP. He will then refer you to someone

My dad had this. Just a primary care doctor will do. They refer you to a surgeon to get it fixed. Family care doctor

You see your primary care doctor and he will refer you, likely to a general surgeon.
