What is the function of cyclin-dependent kinase complexes?

a. restraining the growth and division of the cell

b. overall control of the steps in cell division

c. duplication of DNA

d. protein synthesis that produces the information in   genes.

  • From what I'm reading on Wikipedia, it looks like they have to do with interphase (G1 to S, G2 to M). I think the answer is (A) as it seems to bind to Rb to prevent uncontrolled cell division.

      thank you.  I didn't find my textbook to be very clear and I wasn't sure if it was a or b.
