Can I replace two magnetic ballasts with one electric ballast?

I have two neutral and two hot powering two magnetic ballasts for a four lamp configuration. Can I replace both magnetic ballasts with one electrical ballast? If so, how would I connect the hot and neutral from the new ballast to the two hot and two neutral from the ceiling?

I can't answer without details about the electronic ballast, but in most cases it is easier to just swap light fixtures.

use your multimeter to determine [with circuit off] the exact configuration of the wiring. your solution may be as simple as capping one of the hots and using the other [which neutral should not matter]. Note that you have to buy the right ballast at the store for a four lamp configuration -- the sales guy will help you get the right one
