Why do amazon™ US and Canadian gift cards never expire but amazon™ UK and France ones do?

    Because of EU trade standards and member countries imposing laws to remain consistent with EU standards to facilitate the free-trade zone. Maybe after Brexit, you'll be able to get an Amazon gift card that doesn't expire in the UK.

    I suspect different laws in the US and Canada.  The world is a big place.

    Different places have different rules and laws regarding the purchase and use of gift cards.

    Maybe different laws?  I know its illegal for them to expire in the US.
