I hate opera. Is that bad?

It seems like everybody loves it and it's considered "art". How can overly-done vibrato and depressing music be so beloved. Is opera normal to hate?

It's not bad to dislike anything, not everything can be to everyone's taste. But 'hate' is a strong word, it's best to save for things you really do hate.

no. it doesn't work for you.

I didn't care much for opera until I heard Klaus Nomi

I prefer his classical stuff over his pop tunes.

You shouldn't "hate" any kind of music.

It is wrong to do that. Just dislike it but you don't have to hate any of it.

Have a little bit of respect for the artist and composer. They knew a little something about music....more than you maybe!

Try the Barber of Seville. You'll recognize most of the music from Bugs Bunny singing to Elmer Fudd.

Dude I hate it so much and it's extremely boring. It's not bad to hate it, everyone likes different things. Last time I went to the opera I was begging the person I was with to take me home.
