If you have seizures and your single would you be able to adopt a kid still?

I have seizures and I’ve never been in a relationship and if I’m still single when I’m 29 I plan on adopting a kid, but is there any laws about somebody who has seizures not being able to adopt a child?

There's a home study done to adopt and part of the home study is a physical from a physician. If you can get the okay from a physician and assuming you pass all other areas of the home study, you should be able to adopt.

If you're having frequent seizures your physician is unlikely to sign off on it.

If your seizures might cause you to throw the kid out of a window, why yes, that might be a problem.

    Source(s): Seems obvious.

I couldn't even imagine wanting to in that scenario. It would be highly unlikely you would be cleared during the health and home visits.
