What are your thoughts of people faking mental illness?

Most people with a mental illness have a parent or grandparent with the same illness. That's because it's passed down. I find it funny how people claim to have depression and yet don't know which family member they got it from.

    Not all mental illnesses are passed down through families or generations. People who claim to have depression oftentimes are depressed

    Most mental illnesses aren't hereditary. Feel free to try to prove otherwise with a credible source.
