If employee discipline is private how does theemployee know they'r being disciplined if it's private?

I love it how people say employee discipline is private so if it's private that means they don't know they're being discipline. Even when a chief or principal announces discipline the employee isnt even present to so once again they don't know they are being disciplined. How come it isnt said we or I informed them of the findings and the discipline. They always infer something g but never confirm it. Also the action plan put in place to preventthe event from occurring again is not private.

No, it means that no-one, except the person being disciplined, will know about it and that is how it should ALWAYS be done, otherwise it is not discipline it is intimidation and shaming.
