Did the 2007 Michigan loss to Appalachian State kill Michigan Football?
It seems like since that loss, Michigan as a football program went from Top Tier to Bottom Tier.

Yes, the 2007 loss to Appalachian State was the beginning of the end for Michigan football.
That being said, the 2007 season was a really odd one, with so many major upsets. During that same season, USC lost at home as a 42-point favorite to Stanford. Like Michigan, USC never really was the same after that loss. In a way, the 2007 season was the beginning of the changing of the guard.
